Sorin Summit Mortality Seminar* 2011

Length

Three Days

Location

The Four Seasons Hotel, Washington D.C.

Description

The Sorin Summit* is intended to bring cardiothoracic surgeons together to discuss the year’s most challenging patient cases. It is an opportunity to collaborate with your peers on surgical techniques, procedures, protocols and medical technologies.

The main thrust of the meeting is a thirty-minute presentation of “my problem case” by each surgeon. When selecting a problem case for presentation, remember that the case should be one where the patient did not survive and the procedure presented with multiple complications. Past participant’s have consistently commented that the “disaster case” approach has been a key component of the success and popularity of the Sorin Summit seminar.

Time will also be allocated for discussions of selected topics of common interest. A list of discussion topics will be provided at a later date to provide time to prepare for discussions with attendees. The atmosphere is relaxed and the format is not only for sharing your selected topic, but also exchanging new ideas with your peers.

As part of Sorin’s responsibility to provide a forum for training and education of clinicians that is in line with Sorin Group’s compliance policy, a Training and Education Expense Agreement needs to be completed and returned to Sorin Group prior to attending.

To register for this event, fill out the registration form on the right of the page, and download the Training Agreement and Reservation Forms. Upon filling out these two forms, fax them to 303-467-6375. Registrations must be received by August 15, 2011.
