Description
Participants in this course will have the opportunity to discuss minimally invasive valve surgical techniques, mitral disease diagnosis and surgical intervention, echocardiography and education surrounding optimal timing for valvular repair surgery as outlined in the AHA/ACC evidence-based guidelines.
Objectives
Through this training course you will learn:
- Gain insight into the large population of under-referred valve disease patients and learn about programs to help you address this patient group
- Review patho-etiology of valve disease, diagnosis, inspection and surgical valve repair or replacement
- Learn about minimally invasive surgical techniques for mitral valve repair and/or replacement as patients look for alternative approaches
- Observe 1-2 live minimally invasive mitral valve surgeries including the use of our MEMO 3D™ and Carbomedics AnnuloFlex™ annuloplasty rings
- Gain basic knowledge of the team approach and technologies required
